built in 1912 for D.B. Fisk & Co. a wholesale dealer in millinery
goods; renovated as the Oxford House Hotel in 1958. Completely rebuilt
in 1998 by the Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group and re-opened
as the HOTEL MONACO CHICAGO. French Deco-inspired design by award
-winning interior designer Cheryl Rowley yields a sensually rich d+cor;
all suites with 2-person whirlpool spas. Guest rooms in warm colors
of pistachio green and butter yellow with highly detailed furnishings
including rich mahogany writing desk and armoire, and oversized diamond-patterned
quilted headboard in lipstick red. All guest rooms and suites have
two-line speaker phone, voice-mail, data port and fax machine. All
guest rooms and suites have coffee maker, iron/board, bathrobe, private
bar, hair dryer and a distinctive line of Aveda bath products . Individual
